The fine print

Terms, conditions and cancellation policy

One document. These terms cover how basketball training works with G.O.A.T Training, the risks that come with athletic activity, and every billing, cancellation, rescheduling and refund rule in one place. Data handling lives on our privacy policy, and both apply together.

Effective January 1, 2025 / last updated September 2026

Acknowledgement

"Company", "we" and "us" mean Trey Ruhlman Training, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company doing business as G.O.A.T Training ("Growth on all tiers"). "You" means the individual accessing our site or programs, or the parent or legal guardian of an athlete enrolled in our programs. By booking a free session, enrolling an athlete, or otherwise using our site or programs, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, including the cancellation, rescheduling and refund rules in sections 4 to 10, and to our privacy policy. If you disagree with any part, do not book or enroll.

Our cancellation and refund policy used to sit on a separate page. It is now part of this document, so the rules and the numbers cannot drift out of sync. The old link still works and brings you here.

02

Assumption of risk and waiver of liability

Inherent risk. Basketball training involves physical activity and carries an inherent risk of injury, including sprains, fractures and contact injuries. By enrolling an athlete, you confirm they are physically able to participate and you have disclosed any medical condition that could affect their safety.
Release. To the fullest extent permitted by Ohio law, you assume the ordinary risks of athletic participation and release G.O.A.T Training, its coaches and staff from claims arising out of those ordinary risks. Nothing here releases liability that cannot lawfully be released.
Emergency medical care. If a parent or guardian cannot be reached in an emergency, you authorize G.O.A.T Training to seek emergency medical care for the athlete at your expense.
Signed waiver. New members complete a signed waiver during onboarding covering the specifics above. These Terms apply from the moment you book a free session, whether or not the onboarding waiver has been signed yet.
03

Code of conduct

Athletes, parents and guardians are expected to treat coaches, staff and other athletes with respect. We may end a session for conduct that puts athletes or coaches at risk or is abusive toward staff, and may end a membership for repeated conduct problems, with a prorated refund for the unused part of the term.
Athletes are expected to arrive on time and follow facility rules at every location we train out of across Sandusky, Huron, Erie and Seneca counties, OH.
04

Memberships and billing

Minimum commitment. Memberships run on a three month minimum. Three months is the shortest window in which development reliably shows up in games, so we do not sell shorter terms. This applies to every plan, including monthly billing.
Monthly billing. You are charged on your signup date each month. After your first three payments, the membership continues month to month until you cancel.
Cancellation after the minimum. Once your three month commitment is complete, you may cancel any time before your next charge date to avoid that charge. A renewal cannot be refunded once it has been charged. Your membership stays active through the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancellation during the minimum. Canceling inside the three month term does not release the remaining balance. Remaining payments stay due unless an emergency exception is approved under section 9.
Prepaid terms. Three and six month memberships are paid up front at a discount and renew automatically on the same date every three or six months until you cancel. Each renewal is a new commitment of the same length. You can switch plans at your next renewal.
Refunds. If you cancel within 48 hours of your first purchase and have not used a session, you get a full refund. After that, payments are non-refundable, including for unused sessions or leaving partway through a term.
Pauses. You can pause your membership for a season, for example while your athlete plays a school season, or for an injury. Billing stops during the pause, and the days you did not use are added back: your renewal date moves back by that many days. Pauses must be requested before your billing date.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, booking is suspended until the balance clears. We will reach out before any account is closed.
05

Private 1-on-1 sessions

Non-refundable. All private, one-on-one sessions are non-refundable once purchased.
Rate. Private training is billed at our current published private rate, confirmed with your coach at the time of booking. Private sessions are a premium add-on and are not discounted, bundled into memberships, or rate-matched.
Cancellations. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session result in the session being forfeited, with no rescheduling and no credit.
Rescheduling. Sessions canceled at least 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled to a mutually agreed time, subject to trainer availability.
Expiration. Prepaid private sessions and referral credits must be used within 90 days of purchase or issue unless your coach agrees otherwise in writing.
06

Group sessions

Cancelling a booking. Cancel a group session at least 4 hours before it starts and the credit goes back to your account. Inside 4 hours, the booking cannot be cancelled in the app and the credit is used.
No-shows. A missed session without cancelling counts as used.
No carry-over. Unused group sessions and membership benefits do not roll over. Sessions must be used in the billing period they were added in: each month on monthly plans, each three months on three month plans, each six months on six month plans. Unused sessions expire when that period ends and are not refunded.
Capacity. Group sessions are capped at six athletes per coach. Slots are first come, first served in the athlete portal, and a full slot moves you to the next available time.
Tier placement. Athletes train in the tier a coach places them in. If a coach moves your athlete between tiers, your booked slots move with them at no additional cost.
07

Camps, events and the 3on3 league

Registration. Camp and league registrations are non-refundable within 7 days of the start date, because we cap enrollment and turn athletes away to hold your spot.
Earlier cancellations. Cancel more than 7 days out and we will issue training credit for the full amount, valid for 90 days.
League format. The 3on3 league is a six week commitment. Weekly teammate rotation and the weekly skills topics only work with full attendance, so missed weeks are not refunded or credited.
Divisions. Divisions are capped at twelve athletes. Once a division fills, registrations move to a waitlist and any payment taken in error is refunded in full.
Cancellation by us. If we cancel a camp, event or league week outright, you receive a full refund or credit for that portion, your choice.
08

Team training

Booked dates. Team sessions are scheduled directly with your program's staff and hold a coach's calendar for that block.
Notice. Team dates canceled with less than 48 hours notice are billed in full. With more than 48 hours notice we will reschedule at no charge, subject to availability.
Weather and facility closures. If your school or facility closes, we reschedule at no charge. School closures are never billed.
09

Cancellations, no-shows and exceptions

Emergencies. Exceptions to any cancellation rule above may be considered for medical or family emergencies. Supporting documentation may be required.
Timeliness. Sessions are not extended for late arrivals, and the full session fee applies.
No-shows. A missed session without notice is forfeited. Repeated no-shows may cost you your recurring slot, since it holds a seat another athlete could use.
Free sessions. Your first session is free and carries no obligation. If you cannot make it, tell us so we can release the seat.
10

How to cancel or reschedule

Requests must be made by email to trey@m.goat-training.org or by message through your athlete portal. Portal requests are timestamped, which is the cleanest way to prove when you gave notice.

By scheduling a session or purchasing a membership with G.O.A.T Training, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

11

Media and third-party platforms

Media release. Photo, video and coaching film handling, including the optional marketing-use consent, is covered in our privacy policy.
Platforms. Scheduling, film and progress tracking run through the Coach IQ athlete portal. Payment processing runs through Stripe. CRM, email and text delivery run through GoHighLevel. Each provider's own terms apply to the parts of the experience they handle, alongside these Terms.
12

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, G.O.A.T Training's total liability for any claim arising from our programs or site is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly with us will be handled in the courts of Ohio.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
14

Changes to these terms and contact us

We may update these Terms, including the cancellation and refund rules above, at any time. Material changes are communicated in advance, and the current version always lives on this page.
